We are seeking candidates for the Business Planning Manager position. This role will work closely with sales and the retail customer.The individual must have a passion for managing a business and having the right product at the right place at the right time. You enjoy understanding the retail consumer, the products and the supply chain behind it all.
You will:

Drive planning, sales and retail customer communications using the ILNA planning tool, to achieve our internal
goals and our customer targets for sales, inventory and service -
Analyze actual historical shipments, open orders, work in process, inventories, and point of sale information

Work closely with production planning, sales and the customer merchandising and planning teams

Work with sales to consolidate shipment plans by customer for annual plans and monthly updates

Review exception reports to create action plans for potential POS and inventory issues

Use data to project future manufacturing needs by item/customer and update production plans

Work closely with the retail customer to establish POS assumption and inventory targets

Present recommendations, justification, sales trends and category trends to the retail customer

Manage upside and new business opportunities for the assigned business

Provide Sales team with account analysis as needed

Work closely with the Director of Customer Operations to implement updated ILNA planning tool

Take on new projects as needed to improve ILNA and the planning function
The Team:
This position reports to the Director of Operations.

Large amounts of data do not intimidate you, but allow you to use your strong analytical and organizational skills! You have strong Microsoft Excel skills and your attention to detail makes you a pro at data analysis. You’re a motivated learner who can roll up your sleeves when needed. You work well in groups of people who are passionate toward a common goal. You’re excited to dive in and contribute to building new processes and businesses, selling through multiple channels, multiple categories and you can be counted on to follow through.

5+ years of cumulative experience that includes the areas below:
• Retail planning/category management experience a must
• Experience presenting directly to a retail customer is a must
• Experience in the apparel industry is a plus -
Knowledge of Target Inc. vendor systems and terminology required

Experience planning socks or apparel at Target a plus

Applicable Bachelors Degree
-
An energetic self-starter who is motivated and can multi-task

Strong detail orientation

Proficiency as an Excel super user

Experience with SQL Server Management Studio a plus

Ability to think strategically and analytically

Strong verbal and written communication skills required – must be able to establish internal and external relationships and build consensus

Must be able to work autonomously and collaboratively with a multi-cultural team

Must excel at time management and be able to work effectively, planning, setting and delivering within deadlines

Must have a valid drivers license
